Dear Brethren,

Another month of hard work has passed, and before you know it, we will be beginning a new year!  Gema, Jay, and I are doing really well; not sleeping as well or as much as we would like, but everything is great.  Jay will go to the doctor later this month to get his vaccinations, and then we will begin to be able to take him out with us more often.  Up to now he has only left the house once to go to the doctor’s office, as the pediatrician advised us to keep him home for two months.  We are anxious to be able to take him to worship with us, and I know Gema is anxious to be able to get out of the house more as well!

The month of October was full of planning and fundraising.  Two fundraising dinners (we call these “LAM Night”) were held in Florida, and one was held here at Forrest Park.  Typically, we like to have 100-150 individuals attend these dinners, and we feed them, inform them about LAM, and give them an opportunity to give to the furtherance of this work.  These dinners are vital to our work, as they are the reason we are able to train preachers in Panama, San Blas, Colombia, and Peru.  Without this fundraising, we would have to go back to training men only in Panama, and turn away many who desire to study and preach.

Our 2009 LAM campaign schedule is almost complete.  My 2009 campaigns will include:

March 14-21 – Evangelism - San Blas, Panama

June 6-13 – Evangelism - Lima, Peru

June 13-20 – Evangelism/Medical - Lima Peru

July 24-August 1 – Evangelism/Medical – San Blas, Panama

A full list of campaigns can be seen either at my web site or at www.forrestpark.org.  As always, I invite you and your congregations to go with us!  It will change your lives, and will help you to grow in the work of the Lord.  Thank you so much for all you do in order to allow Gema and me the privilege of doing this work.  We cannot do it without your support!

Your servants,

Jonathan, Gema, and Jay
